When the Surgery is Closed

If you need urgent medical help when the surgery is closed, you can contact NHS 111, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls are free from both mobiles and landlines.

Call 999 in an Emergency

Call 999 immediately if someone is seriously ill or injured. Examples include:

• Chest pain
• Severe difficulty breathing
• Other life-threatening emergencies

Call NHS 111 If:

• You need urgent medical advice but it is not an emergency
• You think you may need urgent treatment
• You are not sure which service to use
• You need health information or advice

A trained advisor will assess your needs and direct you to the most appropriate service.
