Repeat Prescriptions

Please do not email the surgery to ask for repeat medication.

You can request your repeat prescription by:

• Using our online services
• Marking the medicines you need on the slip attached to your prescription and bringing it to the surgery
• Posting the prescription slip to us

These are the quickest and easiest ways to request your regular medication.

Medication Reviews

If you take regular medicine, you will need a medication review at least once a year. This is a chance for a doctor or healthcare professional to check that your medicines are still right for you.

You may see a reminder on your prescription slip when a review is due.

Please book your review appointment as soon as possible to help avoid delays in getting more medication.

Ordering Your Prescription

Please allow:

• 2 full working days for the surgery to process your prescription
• 1 extra working day for the pharmacy to prepare your medication

Remember to allow extra time for weekends and bank holidays, as these are not working days.

HRT Prescription Cost Support

If you use Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) medicines, you may be able to save money with an HRT Prescription Prepayment Certificate (HRT PPC).

The HRT PPC lasts for 12 months and lets you get as many eligible HRT medicines as you need for the cost of two prescription charges.

Before you buy an HRT PPC, check:

• If you can already get free NHS prescriptions
• Whether your HRT medicine is covered by the scheme
• If a standard 3-month or 12-month Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) might save you more money

You can buy an HRT PPC online or at some pharmacies.

Important: HRT PPCs are non-refundable, so please make sure it is right for you before buying.
