GP Training Practice

Heath Lane Surgery is an approved GP training practice.

Since August 2014, we have helped train GP Registrars. GP Registrars are qualified doctors who are completing specialist training to become General Practitioners (GPs).

We may have one or more GP Registrars working at the practice at different stages of their training, or there may be times when we do not have any Registrars assigned to us.

Being a training practice helps us:

• Support the next generation of GPs
• Keep up to date with the latest medical knowledge and developments
• Promote learning and professional development within the practice
• Encourage discussion and shared expertise when caring for patients with more complex health needs
